40-man: John King.

A continuing look at the Rangers 40-man roster:

JOHN KING
Age: 26
Left-Handed Pitcher

The Rangers tenth-round pick in the 2017 draft, King was one of a handful of players who made it into a major league game without having any experience above A-Ball.

He didn’t shine. But, then again, nobody expected him to. They just needed him to eat a few innings. He swallowed ten. Giving up seven earned runs in the process. That calculates to a 6.10 ERA. His WHIP was 1.645. Too many hits. Too many walks.

King likely won’t be on the major league roster this year. He has more work to do.
