A welcome relief. 110 comments

Rangers catcher Jose Trevino picks up his first major league hit, an RBI single that ties the game 2-2 in the seventh.

It’s amazing how much fun this game is when it’s played right.

When the starting pitcher goes seven and gives up only two runs like Mike Minor did yesterday. That’s a rarity with the Rangers, but such a welcome sight.

Or, when the Rangers pull off a perfectly executed hit and run like Jurickson Profar did in the eighth inning with Delino DeShields on first. DeShields broke for second on the pitch, causing the shortstop to have to break for second to take the throw. Profar took advantage of the shortstop abandoning his position and poked a single to left, sending DeShields to third.

Adrian Beltre did what he does best, get a clutch hit, this time a triple to drive in two. Ryan Rua pinch ran and scored, and the Rangers took a 5-3 lead.

Welcome back, baseball, we missed you. Please make yourself at home and stay a while.
