Braves go up 2-0.

Another day, another walk-off win against the Dodgers, this one 5-4 in Game 2.

Two games. Two walk-off wins. There is nothing more exciting than playoff baseball.

Atlanta is doing the impossible. They are up 2-to-0 against the great Los Angeles Dodgers in the N.L. Championship Series.

The Dodgers ran Max Scherzer out to start Game 2 after he had already pitched three times in the past ten days. They rode their best pitcher hard to get them there, trying to win the division instead of a wild card. These two games would have been home games had they been able to do that. Instead, they were in Atlanta, where they tried their ace one more time.

Scherzer himself after the game said his arm was dead.

The team with Clayton Kershaw, Trevor Bauer, Walker Buehler, Jose Urias, Dustin May, Brusdar Graterol, David Price, and then Max Scherzer has run out of starting pitching.

The Braves are outpitching, out-hitting, out-defending, and out-running the defending world champions who won 106 regular season games to the Braves’ 88.

But before Braves fans get too comfortable, they just need to rewind all the way back to the 2020 Championship Series.

Atlanta won the first two games, then went up 3-to-1. And lost. In fact, they got crushed 15-3 last year in Game 3. Fans have long memories. Instead of feeling great, Atlanta fans have to be freaking out right now.

Will this be déjà vu all over again?

Stay tuned.
