Hamels steps up. 246 comments

When this team is right, it’s very good. And sweeping Seattle in Seattle was nice payback for what just happened last week in Arlington when Seattle won three of four against the Rangers.
Cole Hamels was brilliant again, almost unhittable through eight innings. The only blemish, a solo Nelson Cruz solo home run.

Now the Rangers are back to .500.

Do they roll back down the mountain like they have every other time this season? Or can they actually build momentum for a final ten-game push?

They play seven of ten against Oakland. They are, not surprisingly, 6-6 against the Athletics.

It all depends on which team shows up these final ten games.

The one that has won four in a row. Or the one that, right before that, lost five in a row.

Nick Martinez (3-6, 5.47) vs. Kendall Graveman (5-4, 4.39)
Game time: 9:05

How the Rangers hit against Graveman.
How the Athletics hit against Martinez.
