It’s a new year, a new team, a new website.

Gone is 2014, gone are the injuries that devastated this team, gone are the snide comments about Mitch Moreland. Good news is, those comments can, and probably will, be re-generated once play begins.

Jon Daniels says the Rangers are absolutely not in the Cole Hamels market, not in the James Shields market or Max Scherzer market. The Rangers are looking for another starter. Just, apparently, not one who is adept at winning major league games.

So, let’s take pleasure in knowing that pitchers and catchers report on February 20th. That’s thirty-four days from now.

Pitchers other than Hamels and Shields and Scherzer will report with a catcher named Robinson Chirinos and a few other guys to begin preparing the Texas Rangers for their glorious march to third place.

Last year, it was all about injuries. This year, let’s see some of those prospects. That’s what a team like the 2015 Rangers has to offer its fans.

Welcome back Rangers’ fans.
