How to get to .500.

Evan Grant from The Dallas Morning News unearthed an interesting stat yesterday.

“The Rangers scored three or fewer runs in 80 of their games last year. They were 7-73. When they scored either four or five, they were basically a .500 team (20-21).”

So, as the Rangers head into the off-season, there is a dose of optimism. A little bit of offense will go a long way. A lot of offense will go a long way.

If they add some quality bats, they could make a serious step forward.

This is not new news. This is the blinding glimpse of the obvious. But those stats are eyeopeners Or more like roadmaps.

Offense, offense, offense.
