4-2.

Nathan Eovaldi strikes out ten in Rangers 10-2 victory over the White Sox.

The Rangers are doing what they are supposed to do. Which isn’t always easy to do. And hasn’t been for the Rangers this year.

They are beating the White Sox. As a reminder, the White Sox are fifty games out of first place. That means, everyone is beating the White Sox.

But they have beat them three of the first four. And that’s what they had to do.

Houston finally won. Seattle is in the free fall everyone knew would occur. That happens because this time every year, when the Mariners start playing well, someone on the team accidentally sees the name Seattle written across their uniform and realizes, “Oh wait, we’re the Mariners,” and it all falls down from there.

Seattle is doing what it does: folds. Houston is doing what it does: leads the division. And Texas is doing what it needs to do: beat the White Sox.

The Rangers are 4-2 in the critical dozen games they had to play between the All-Star break and the trade deadline.

This is getting interesting.
