All Corey.

Corey Seager’s two-HR night is all the Rangers needed.

The Rangers too little too late portion of the season continues, as they got their second straight win, this one against the Pirates.

Really, it was Corey Seager who got this win. His two home runs accounted for all four of Texas’s runs, as they hung on to beat Pittsburgh 4-3.

Not to be overlooked were the four scoreless innings that ironman Jose Ureña put up. He calmed the brush fire after a Pirates three-run homer off Dane Dunning put them within one run.

Yates came in and shut it down.

It’s these glimpses of excellence that give the Rangers hope for 2025.

There it was. That hope word. The most dangerous word in a baseball fan’s vocabulary.

But after a season like this, coming off a season like that, a Rangers fan can be excused if they have a bit of hope for next season.

It can’t be worse than this season. Can it?
