It’s time.

A complete list of the most disappointing hitters on the Rangers in 2025.

The last time the Rangers won consecutive games was early May, and they ended up winning six in a row, three of those, however, were against the lowly Rockies. But two were against the Tigers, the best team in the major league.

Two in a row isn’t that remarkable for most teams. But for the Rangers, it’s rare. The worst offense in baseball either has to be the beneficiary of their pitcher throwing a shutout as Jacob deGrom did on Saturday, or of a rare outpouring of hits, as the Rangers managed on Sunday.

The reality is, as bad as this team is, it’s lucky to be in the most mediocre division. They are not that far out of it. Houston has the lowest winning percentage of any division leader.

If the Rangers are going to turn it around, they have to do it now. They can’t keep expecting it to happen. They have to make it happen. Now. Starting with this three-game series against Minnesota.

While the Rangers, for as bad as they’ve been, aren’t out of it, they are dangerously close to being out of it.

It’s up to them to string together wins. And to do that they have to string together offense. But six of their key offensive pieces are mired in long, long slumps.

Wyatt Langford is 5-for-his-last-36 (.139). Corey Seager is 2-for-his-last-34 (.059). Alejandro Osuna is 1-for-his last-18 (.056). Josh Jung is 2-for-his last-27 (.074). Jonah Heim is 4-for-his-last-40 (.100). And before his three hits on Sunday, Evan Carter was mired in a 1-for-20 (.050) run.

You can’t bat everyone last. And you can’t sit everyone out for mental breaks. Until the Rangers make a trade for a bonafide hitter, they are going to continue to struggle.

That kind of puts it all on Marcus Semien and Jake Burger and Josh Smith, who only recently came out of long slumps of their own. Adolis Garcia is starting to sprinkle a few singles here and there. But he is supposed to be a power hitter. Since April 20, he has hit three home runs and just six doubles. His last extra-base hit, a double, was May 25.

Someone needs to step up and be a hero. Someone needs to step up and carry this team. Right now they are all combining to bury it.
