Mediocrity.

Searching for answers: Bruce Bochy is trying to find some consistency somewhere.

For too long, Rangers fans have been hoping this year’s team finds the magic of 2023.

Last night it seemed the Rangers harkened back a few years further. They looked an awful lot like the 2021 Texas Rangers that lost 102 games.

The offense has been non-existent for most of this season. So it was no surprise the Rangers limped through a game again.

But the defense was embarrassing. Dropping easy fly balls. Making plays then not being able to get the ball out of the glove. Bad throws. Just sloppy baseball.

Then, you combine that with a stater and bullpen that is just not championship caliber, and you end up with the 9-3 loss the Rangers suffered last night.

After forty-six games, this team sits at .500, 23 wins, 23 losses.

Maybe it’s time to realize the 2024 Texas Rangers just aren’t that special.

While they are not as bad as the 2021 team, they are not as good as the 2023 team.

They live in the middle.

In mediocrity.
