Rangers limp to .500.

Point of impact: Wyatt Langford’s 2-run HR gives the Rangers a 2-1 win over the hapless Rockies.

The Rangers anemic offense returned.

Jake Burger returned.

Wyatt Langford’s power returned.

The Rangers returned to .500.

Rangers frustration returned.

This is what a .500 team looks like. On a night they get another smothering pitching performance from Tyler Mahle, who gave up one earned run in 6.1 innings to lower his ERA to 1.47, the offense was being no-hit by a guy who entered the game with an ERA close to 8.00.

Yet, Chase Dollander was nearly perfect through five innings, with only a leadoff walk to Evan Carter. He led off the sixth walking Tucker Barnhart, but after the Rangers as usual failed to move him over, Wyatt Langford moved him all the way around with a two-out, two-run homer that was the Rangers first hit.

They would get only two more.

This off the team with the worst record in baseball history, and the worst team ERA in baseball.

So, with their third win in a row, the Rangers are back to .500. Corey Seager is back to being injured. And, with Luke Jackson taking a 100-mile-per-hour line drive off his arm, the Rangers are back to looking for a closer.

Nothing is easy.
