Rangers need a plunger.

Maybe voodoo is the answer.

They’ve tried extra batting practice. They’ve tried shuffling the lineup. They tried sending guys down to the minor leagues.

No matter what the Rangers try, they cannot hit. They cannot score runs. They are not a good team and all the press conferences and wishes and hoping can’t change the fact that the Rangers need a major offensive overhaul.

So, maybe voodoo is the answer. We know what’s not the answer. Adolis Garcia isn’t the answer. Neither is Joc Pederson. Nor Leody Taveras.

There are no answers on this roster. The Rangers need a major shakeup. The problem is, their desire not to go over the luxury tax threshold which would trigger all sorts of extra penalties is forcing them to limit who they could go after in a trade, assuming the Rangers could improve the offense that way. There aren’t a lot of cheap hitters out there.

How their hitting coaches still have jobs is a mystery.

This team needs a major shakeup.

Because, if voodoo isn’t the answer, a plunger certainly is.
