Only now, this is a meaningless game in a season with 100 more meaningless games to go. But afterward, the Rangers treated it as if they won the World Series. You never forget your first win. It’s special. And last night they treated it as such.

It was a come-from-behind, extra inning, 4-3 win over the Giants. But it stopped their consecutive inter-league losing streak at 13. One more loss would have been a record.

All in all, it was good to see the Rangers do the things other teams have been doing to them so easily for the past month.

Now, let’s see if they can win two in a row and really make this something.
