Seager 3, Dodgers 2.

Corey Seager is the Rangers offense.

Thank the baseball gods that Corey Seager is back.

Without him, the Rangers are hopeless. With him, they have a fighting chance.

The Rangers got the first two on in second—Semien and Seager—and the non-Seagers couldn’t drive them in.

The Rangers got a runner to second in the second inning. And the non-Seagers couldn’t drive it in.

The Rangers got two on with one out in the fourth inning. Once again, the non-Seagers couldn’t drive them in.

Finally, in the fifth, with two on and one out, Seager hit a three-run homer to give the Rangers all the runs they would get.

The non-Seagers couldn’t drive in a run in the sixth with a runner at second. Or in the seventh with a runner at second.

It’s a one-man offense, and that one man had been out of the lineup for a few games.

He returned just in time.

Eventually, other Rangers are going to have to show up at the plate with runners in scoring position. It’s not fair to make Seager do it all.
