The 2023 Rangers didn’t stay long. Just a quick pop in to say hello for a few innings in Boston, then they were on their way.

That left the 2024 Rangers to deal with the Twins at home. And the results were pretty much as expected.

Two first-inning runs is all the 2024 Rangers could muster against Minnesota. 

The Rangers left nine runners on base because they couldn’t get that one big hit to bring them in, stranding a runner in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh.

Of course, this year’s version of the Rangers takes the eighth and ninth inning off.

All that mojo and magic and whatever the Rangers generated from that incredible win at Fenway vanished. Reality returned. This Rangers team is not good enough.
