I”m looking forward to the World Series. It looks to be pretty evenly matched.
What the Mets did to the Cubs, though, was no fluke. This is a very good team.
Like the Rangers, the MetsĀ remade their team at the Trade Deadline, and things totally clicked.
Before the All-Star game, they were last in the National League in hitting. They added Yoenis Cespedes and Juan Uribe, then got Travis D’arnaud and David Wright back from injury and Curtis Granderson pulled a Shin-Soo Choo and awoke from the dead, and what had beenĀ the worst offense in the NL turned into the best.
That’s a ton of offense to just show up at your doorstep.
Combine that with the incredible young pitching they have, and it’s a pretty dynamic team that is going to be hard to beat.
