How did Josh Jung follow being named American League Rookie of the Month for April?
He hit two home runs in yesterday’s disappointing 12-7 loss to Arizona.
He now has eight home runs, 24 RBIs, is hitting .275, with an OPS+ of 138.
It would seem the Rangers have, finally, filled one of its glaring holes. They haven’t had a third baseman since Adrian Beltre retired after the 2018 season.
Asdrubal Cabrera. Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Brock Holt. Charlie Culberson. Andy Ibañez. It was a revolving door of mediocrity, mostly because they were waiting for Jung to arrive.
He has arrived.
Now, if only he would have brought some bullpen arms with him.
