On the road.

The equipment trucks are loaded and heading to Surprise, Arizona. Pitchers and catchers report tomorrow. The rest of the team reports Monday. The first exhibition game is in ten days, Friday, February 23.

With the start of spring training, the most successful season in Rangers’ history will officially be in the rearview mirror. The Rangers have said they will go slowly in spring with their pitching, since so many of them threw an extra month of postseason, meaning they had one month less rest.

That’s the price you pay for winning.

Spring is when a lot of pitching injuries reveal themselves. Since the Rangers have only five viable starters, they can’t afford for any of them to have any sort of arm problems.

Between hoping that doesn’t happen, and scouring the available pitching landscape, Chris Young will be busy looking for rotation help. And looking. And looking.

And looking.

And looking.
