World Series is set.

It’s the Astros and the Phillies.

The Surprising Phillies road to the World Series on the back of Bryce Harper.

With his team down 3-2 in the bottom of the eighth, Harper’s two-run homer was the dagger in the heart of the Padres, sending them home and sending his Phillies to the World Series.

In the five games it took for Philadelphia to vanquish San Diego, Harper when 8-for-20, which is .400, hit two home runs, three doubles, and drove in five. It earned him MVP of the Playoffs honor.

This is why the Phillies opened up their checkbooks for Harper, giving him a thirteen-year deal. Guys like that rise to the occasion.

It’s what the Rangers are hoping they get from Seager or Semien one day. And the Phillies story is why getting into the playoffs is the goal.

Once a team is in, anything can happen. The Phillies proved that.
