2018 rotation candidates. 25 comments

The Rangers 2018 rotation is beginning to take shape.

As the off-season starts to unfold and teams begin the long process of getting rosters ready for 2018, clubs are already starting to decline options on players.

It’s already starting to become apparent who the Rangers are going to target to fill out their nearly barren rotation that currently has Hamels as its number one starter and Martin Perez as its number seven starter, with nobody in between.

Expect the Rangers to go hard after Wade Miley, Anibal Sanchez, Hisashi Iwakuma, Yovani Gallardo, and Ricky Nolasco, all of whom have become free agents in the first two days of the off-season, and all of whom perfectly fit the bill as idea Jon Daniels types of pitchers.

They are cheap.
