Going deep. Fried. 411 comments

News in spring training is usually hard to come by. As the spring drags on, what constitutes as actual news gets more and more suspect. Especially when you have the rare spring day off.

Yesterday’s news from Arlington was the announcement that the Rangers are going to open a concession stand in the Ballpark that will honor the State Fair tradition of deep frying everything.

The booth will be called the State Fair.

It is not yet clear where the State Fair booth with be located, but rumors are it will be next to the medical care tent. Official are working around the clock to widen the door to that tent. Work on that should be done by Opening Day.

Everything is sponsored in the Ballpark. This booth is sponsored by the Heart Hospital at Texas Health Arlington.

So while the Rangers starting staff has been decimated, at least your arteries will be fortified.

And while the Rangers serving up fifteen runs in another bad starting pitching performance won’t exactly be riveting enough to cause heart palpitations, at least you will get that heart-stopping feeling from your Fried S’mOreo with a side of Fried Butter Wrapped Crisco.

If the Rangers rotation doesn’t do you in, their food will.
