You can look at last night’s game as a disappointing loss. Or you can look at it as another bit of Rangers magic.
Texas is a team that doesn’t seem to want to die. They were five games under .500 just twelve days ago. They lost nine out of twelve. Five in a row.
Then, then won eight out of nine. Five in a row.
Unable to push home a run through the first eight innings, they refused to die again. They did what all special teams do. They scored two ninth-inning runs.
It looked like this remarkable Rangers renaissance was going to continue.
But the Angels had a bit of their own magic and scored two to snatch victory from the Rangers.
You can look at it two ways It was a glorious ninth inning. It was a heartbreaking ninth inning.
In a season that was never supposed to be anyway, look at it as a Rangers team that’s pretty hard to beat right now.
