Fifteen runs.

Nathanial Lowe digs for a double as part of his four-hit night to raise his average to .333.

The Great Roller Coaster ride of 2024 continues. A game after scoring just one run and stranding more than American Airlines, the Rangers bats break out for an onslaught of fifteen runs and seventeen hits, led by four from Nathanial Lowe, and triples from Evan Carter and Josh Smith.

This was the promise of the Ranger attack, scoring early and often. One in the first, three in the third, three in the fourth, three in the seventh, and capping it off with five in the eighth.

It all made a winning pitcher out of…Josh Sborz? For some reason, with a five-run lead, and after having allowed just four hits, with two outs in the fifth, Dane Dunning was unceremoniously yanked, one out from a win, and replaced with Josh Sborz. Kind of a slap in the face.

But, a win is a win. And an onslaught is an onslaught. They lost Wyatt Langford in the process, thought. He left the game in the fourth inning after pulling a hamstring trying to beat out an infield hit.

So, now the Rangers go for the series win, which would be a good early season accomplishment against this really strong Royals team, down two of their starters in Langford and Jung. Down four starters.

Strap on. The rollercoaster is about to take off. Keep all hands and arms inside the ride at all times.
