The World Series moves to Philadelphia for Games 3, 4, and 5. One thing is certain. The home crowd will be loud. After all, they have yet to see their hometown team lose in the post-season.
They swept the Cardinals in the first-round, best-of-three series, but those two games were in Saint Louis.
They lost the first game of their best-of-five series, and the only game they lost in that series, against the Braves in Atlanta, but won both games in Philadelphia.
They lost one game, also the only game they lost, in their best-of-seven series in San Diego but came back home to Philadelphia to win all three games, which catapulted them into the World Series.
So, now they come back home to Philadelphia, tied at one game apiece, where they cannot seem to lose.
The Astros are sending Lance McCullers, who has had great success in the post-season, carrying a career 2.77 ERA into tonight’s game.
A team that cannot seem to win at home against a pitcher who rises to the occasion.
Something has to give.
