You’d think the Astros would have learned their lesson.
After Adolis Garcia hit a three-run walk-off homer to win Friday night’s game, he hit two home runs to spark an 8-4 victory on Saturday.
So, when the Garcia came up again in the bottom of the tenth and the winning run at third with another chance to deliver the walk-off hit and add to the seven RBIs he already had this series and with first base open, it was shocking they didn’t walk with a base open.
Or, at the very least, to keep him from burning them three games in a row.
But they didn’t. And he did.
And the Rangers swept the Astros at home. And the legend of Adolis Garcia continues to grow.
The last time the Rangers had a Rookie of the Year award winner was Neftali Feliz in 2010.
That year was special for another reason as well.
