Hello, offense.

Whether it’s spring, the middle of the season, in the World Series, or a Little League game, any time you can score seventeen runs is a good day. Who doesn’t love offense?

Last season, that was an entire month’s worth of offensive output.

Of course, you don’t get too excited. It is, after all, spring. But offense is fun. Offense is rare in major league baseball.

But scoring seventeen runs against Seattle is like bullying. The Mariners have the longest streak in of all four major league sports in America for not making the playoffs. The Rangers are in the middle of matching that streak.

Seventeen runs. Eighteen hits. As always, thank the baseball gods for Seattle.
