In a good place.

The Rangers scored early and often yesterday, racking up thirteen runs and fourteen hits off Cubs pitching. Well, pitchers wearing a Cubs uniform.

Here’s hoping they can carry this offensive dominance to the regular season.

Andrus collected two hits, Odor three, Andy Ibanez drove in three runs, catcher Nick Ciuffo drove in two, as did Kiner-Falefa.

Odor is crushing it this spring. Hitting .556 with an OPS of 1.780. He is coming alive off some of really tough Double-A and Triple-A pitchers.

While Rougned Odor is everyone’s favorite whipping boy, the indisputable truth is he has been one of the Rangers best hitters for the past two spring seasons, batting .318 in 2019, and .500 in 2018.

When a spring training game is on the line, Odor is the guy you want up to bat.

This spring, his patient approach is really paying off. In fact, Rangers manager Chris Woodward heaped praise on Odor, saying he is “in a really good place right now.”

Let’s hope he stays in this “really good place.” When the Rangers break camp and head to Seattle for the regular season, here’s hoping Odor remains in Surprise.

After all, he’s in a really good place right now. You’d hate for something like facing major league pitching to spoil it.
