Of course, things like the roster and the lineup and the rotation and the bullpen matter. But nobody goes to a Rangers game to see the players.
They go for the food.
This year, the Rangers introduce a boatload of new concession items for us to stuff our collective mouths with.
The biggest news is the opening of a Whataburger near Section 105.
Arlington Eats, which is a rotating restaurant in Section 101 will go from two restaurants in rotation to seven.
Hurtado Barbecue will be back in Section 141, and now also in section 201, with a new menu item, the Milanesa Taco: chicken fried brisket, gravy, and chile de arbol in a flour tortilla.
The Boomstick is getting boomier. The new version, available in Section 132, combines a hotdog, hamburger, and nachos. It features two hamburger patties topped with nacho cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles, as well as a foot-long hot dog topped with chili, nacho cheese, grilled onions, and jalapeños. A bargain at just $32.99. Pepto Bismol sold separately.
There are a few other new items available throughout The Shed. But once you have sampled the Boomstick, you will never eat again.
