The Rangers had a really great shot at a rare four-game winning streak. What they ended up with was a doubleheaders split.
They also ended up leapfrogging over three teams in wild card race that nobody seems to want to win.
So here is the deal: They have twenty-three games left. Sixteen against teams with winning records. The other seven against Oakland.
The next thirteen games are against teams they are fighting for in the wild card race. Three against the Yankees at home. Four against the Mariners at home. Three against the Angels in Anaheim. Then three more against the Mariners in Seattle.
The players all say they are in it. The manager says they are in it.
Let’s see if they are in it.
NO GAME TODAY.
