Rougned Odor’s unlikely three-run homer gives the Rangers the win over Tampa Bay 10-9.

This is what makes baseball so great. No other sport is this unpredictable.

A pitcher who is almost totally unhittable goes up against a hitter who is almost totally unhitterable. In a sport where good pitching beats good hitting, and great pitching owns pitiful hitting.

And the hitter wins.

Baseball is amazing. Anything can happen. And it usually does.

A team scores seven runs in the first but then instantly finds itself down.

It takes a two-run lead into the ninth and has to hang on to win.

Even when baseball isn’t good baseball it’s baseball.

And that’s good with me.
