Scott Boras is playing hardball with the Rangers. Adrian Beltre is seeking a $300 million, thirteen-year contract extension.

Seems like a lot of money for one player but this is the face of the franchise.

Since he seems to have gotten better as he has gotten older, this deal, which on the surface seems crazy, could actually turn out to be one of Jon Daniels’s better deals, rivaling the long-term contract he gave both Shin-Soo Choo and Elvis Andrus.
