It’s the last day of February.

Another left-handed bullpen candidate went down yesterday, Edgar Olmos. But if the Rangers were relying on Edgar Olmos, that speaks volume of the Rangers bullpen. The two able-bodied left arms left are Alex Claudio, who last season was pretty spectacular out of the pen, and Martire Garcia. Oh, and possibly Ross Detwiler, who is looking more and more like a bullpen candidate with every southpaw arm that goes south.

Also, the Rangers have signed Rougned Odor and Jurickson Profar to one-year contracts for the 2015 season, along with Michael Choice, Ryan Rua and Jake Smolinski.

According to Dallasnews.com, the Rangers now have 34 of the 41 players on their major league roster under contract for 2015.

Very little Rangers’ spring training news to report.  Which is the best news of all.
