Ugly news about former Ranger Sam Dyson. He is being investigate for domestic abuse against his girlfriend, who has since left him.

There is no excuse for this type of behavior. And no sympathy for the abuser whatsoever.

He has yet to be charged with anything. MLB is in the preliminary stages of the investigation. But it doesn’t look good for him.

Dyson is best known for going the entire 2015 season without giving up a home run in relief until Game 5 against Toronto, when he surrendered the infamous Jose Bautista blast.

Dyson is a free agent. If he did what has been alleged, he is also a coward.

It’s a sad story to be sure.
