Minor transaction.

Sometimes the moves are big and will have major ramifications like stealing Corey Kluber from the cash-strapped Cleveland Indians.

Other times the moves are minor and you will probably never hear of the player again like acquiring outfielder Adolis Garcia from the perennial competitive St. Louis Cardinals.

Garcia is a twenty-six-year-old Cuban-born outfielder (remember all the success the Rangers had with their last Cuban-born outfielder) who played five years in Cuba and one in Japan before the Cardinals signed him in 2016. Other than a brief visit in with the Cardinals in 2018, Garcia has bounced around the minor leagues. He did hit 32 home runs last year in Triple-A but everyone in the league enjoyed power surges due to the spiked ball.

He represents the true meaning of minor league outfield depth.
