Padres sign Rangers rejects. 8 comments

No matter how bleak things are in Rangersland, at least we’re not Padres fans.

So far, Texas has added three really mediocre pitchers to its rotation in Mike Minor, Doug Fister and Matt Moore.

But the Padres took it one step further. They just signed a pitcher who wasn’t even good enough for the woeful Rangers rotation: Tyson Ross. Then, even more desperately, former Ranger Chris Young.

When you sign pitchers who aren’t even good enough to pitch for a pitching starved team like the Rangers, you know you are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

The grass is always browner on the other side. And that side is in San Diego.
