Good Rangers showed up. 186 comments

Once again, Adrian Beltre showed why he is the most important player on the Rangers roster, hitting a game-winning home run in the top of the ninth of a 2-1 win.

You never know which Rangers team is going to show up from night to night.

Last night, it was the offense that doesn’t score many runs. And it was pitching that doesn’t give up many runs.

And for the first time in five tries, the Rangers beat the Indians.

But even though the Rangers went a game over .500, it’s hard to get excited about it. They have shown an uncanny ability to hover at mediocre.

The amazing news is that Robinson Chirinos is making a strong case for making the All-Star team as a backup catcher.

He continues to hit for power and drive in runs, hitting his eleventh home run in at-bat 108.

If there really is a baseball god, Chirinos would make the All-Star team. Ahead of the guy he is behind.

Baseball works in mysterious ways.
