Twins break a record for futility.

You think it’s bad to be a Rangers fan? (Answer, yes)

With yesterday’s loss to Houston, the Minnesota Twins set the record in American major league sports for consecutive playoff losses.

They have now lost 17 playoff games in a row.

In 2004, they won the first game of a best of five against the Yankees. Then they lost the next three.

They were swept three in a row by Oakland in 2006.

Lost three in a row to the Yankees in 2009.

Three more to the Yankees in 2010.

Lost the wild card game to the Yankees in 2017.

Lost three more to the Yankees in 2019.

Now, they lost the first of the best of three to the Astros.

A loss today not only adds to their shame but it sends them home for the season after winning the Central Division this year.

Wait a second? Where did this Twins team come from? The Washington Senators got so bad they moved there in 1961. Then, Washington got another team in 1961. It got so bad it moved Arlington and became the Texas Rangers.

Proof that everything from Washington DC turns out rotten.
