Spring training poll. 272 comments

Rumors abound about the Rangers and catching. More specifically, about trading for catching. First it was Jonathan Lucroy. Now it’s Derek Norris. It seems they Rangers are not resting. Winning the division wasn’t good enough. As a fan, that’s encouraging. But every fan has an opinion. Which leads to today’s questions. […]

Dear Rangers: 176 comments

Wow. Another fourteen runs. Another eleven hits. Save some offense for the regular season. It’s nice to pile on, especially against Oakland, whose defense smelled as bad as their sewage dump of a stadium yesterday. Let’s keep this hit parade going. Somewhere Dave Magadan is spinning in his grave.

Rumors still out there. 359 comments

Some rumors won’t go away. Even after the Rangers signed Ian Desmond to play left, yesterday rumors still have Texas in talks for Milwaukee’s Jonathon Lucroy. According to MLB.com, the Rangers are in the hunt. All it will take is Lewis Brinson and Luke Jackson.

Off Broadway. 164 comments

The Rangers’ baseball show closed off Broadway yesterday. Mike Broadway that is. Mike Broadway gave up the game-winning single to Ronald Guzman in a thankless task of coming in with two on, one out, and the two tying runs having already scored off his predecessor, Ian Gardeck. In case you were […]

Hide and seek. 129 comments

The Rangers played two games yesterday. And a mind game. The main game was against Seattle. They lost that 7-3. But as is so often the case early spring when teams have a lot of players and a limited amount of innings, the Rangers had a B game as well. They won […]
